The investment bank is renaming itself and welcomes as new MD Stéphane Olmi, as well as his team, to strengthen itself in the Fintech and Finance Services sectors.

Stéphane Olmi is leaving the ranks of the investment boutique dedicated to healthcare, AEC Partners, to join as Managing Director Gimar &Co – the new name of Gimar&Cie – the investment bank created in 1999 by Christian Giacomotto. Specialising in financial and market activities, insurance, TMT, as well as aeronautics and defence, the investment boutique has added expertise in the healthcare sector as well as in fintech. Stéphane Olmi joined AEC Partners in 2012 and launched, in 2016, AEC Fintech, an entity he had been managing since the arrival of Adrien Choquet.

Stéphane Olmi’s team was solicited for its expertise in the financial and fintech sectors, in addition to its track record in healthcare. In the context of the deals we handled, we worked alongside the Gimar teams and it seemed to us that combining our skills made a lot of sense,” reports Stéphane Olmi. With a dozen investment bankers and the pooling of each team’s networks, Gimar & Co is better equipped to accompany the evolution of the financial institutions and fintech sectors”. Their spectrum will cover all types of operations, including fund raising beyond €5 million.
