Stéphane Olmi is a senior investment banker and trusted advisor to leading financial institutions, corporates, entrepreneurs, and investors, having advised on more than 150 transactions throughout his career, including numerous cross-border strategic deals. He is widely recognized as a leading advisor in financial services, particularly in life insurance, private banking, and fintech, where he has played a prominent role in many landmark transactions over the past fifteen years.
Earlier in his career, Stéphane worked alongside Bernard Arnault and contributed to some of the earliest transactions that shaped the development of what would become the LVMH group. This experience laid the foundations for a career spanning more than three decades in corporate finance and strategic advisory.
Stéphane joined Gimar & Co in 2020 after founding and leading the Investment Banking division of AEC Partners / AEC Fintech. Prior to AEC, he was Executive Director at Lazard Frères, where he was responsible for middle-market investment banking activities in Paris and Lyon. Throughout his career, he has built a reputation for combining deep sector expertise with a relationship-driven approach to advising entrepreneurs, corporates, financial institutions, and investors.
He has developed an extensive network across leading and mid-sized corporations, banks, insurance companies, mutual institutions, private equity firms, and family-owned businesses, allowing him to support clients on complex strategic and transformational transactions.
Stéphane holds an MSc from Arts et Métiers ParisTech and an MBA from HEC Paris.
